OKCPD: Man arrested, accused of stabbing girlfriend to death
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Oklahoma City police have made an arrest for the death of a woman stabbed to death early Sunday.
Officers responded to a "trouble unknown" call just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday July 17, near SE 15th Street and S. Central Avenue, where they found the victim 47-year-old Marta Ortega in the front seat of a vehicle. Ortega was unresponsive and had multiple stab wounds to her body, according to reports.
Ortega was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police later arrested Ortega's boyfriend, 25-year-old Manuel Cruz, who was at the scene when officers arrived.
Cruz was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of first degree murder.
