OKCPD identifies victim found dead in SW metro home

Oklahoma City police have released the identity of a man found dead inside a metro home.

Police say on July 14, officers responded to a residence in the 12500 block of SW 14th for reports of a deceased person. Arriving officers found 54-year-old William Poe dead with trauma consistent with homicide.

OKCPD officials say Poe's vehicle appears to also be missing. Officers are currently searching for a 2008 white Ford Expedition EL with and Oklahoma Skydiving Center decal. It has Oklahoma tag number BYX-393.

Anyone with information on the suspicious death is urged to call the Homicide tip-line at (405) 297-1200.

Poe's death is considered the 43rd homicide in Oklahoma City of 2017.
