The Oklahoma City Fire Department has been called to the 100 block of NE 138th Street near Santa Fe Avenue for an accident involving slabs of granite inside a cargo container.

The call came out just before 6:00 p.m. Thursday, and according to an OKCFD spokesperson the man had six slabs of granite that pinned him from the waist down, but he was conscious and alert.

Firefighters used air bags and saws in their attempt to free the man and were able to remove some of the weight from the man, but he was still pinned. The rescue workers then cut through the side of the trailer and were able to remove the man from the container.

The man suffered injury to both legs and was taken to the hospital.
