OHP hopes to identify driver that fled scene after fatally striking Red Rock man

Authorities hope to identify a driver that struck and killed a man on a northern Oklahoma highway.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that 64-year-old Randall Whitehorn, of Red Rock, was hit and killed by a vehicle at approximately 4 a.m. July 9 as he walked along US Highway 177 south of Yearling Road in Noble County. The driver then fled the scene. The fatal crash occurred near the Otoe-Missouri Tribal Casino and Complex.

The OHP believes that the suspect vehicle is a 1992-1995 Mercury Sable or Ford Taurus. Authorities do not know the color of the vehicle. The car will have damage to its passenger side, front headlight and passenger side rear view mirror.
