OHP: 4 injured in wreck that closed Kilpatrick Turnpike
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Four people are in the hospital Wednesday morning after a three-car crash on the Kilpatrick Turnpike.
Authorities say around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday near SH 66, a teenager driving a Tahoe rear-ended one vehicle before crossing the center median and striking another vehicle coming the opposite direction. The driver of the third vehicle involved was ejected. She was flown to OU Medical Center in critical condition. Her two passengers were admitted in stable condition.
The teenager driving the Tahoe is also listed as stable early Wednesday morning. The driver who was rear-ended was not injured.
OHP officials closed down the Kilpatrick Turnpike for a little more than an hour Tuesday night. The road has since reopened.
The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
