Teenager arrested in early morning Norman homicide
NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) —
The Norman Police Department says a 15-year-old has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting early Thursday.
Police say officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 300 block of N. Cockrel Avenue.
Responding officers located a 19-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
Shortly after a 15-year-old male was taken into custody. Police believe the victim and suspect were in an altercation on the front porch of the residence when the teenager pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the chest.
The weapon used in the shooting has not been located. Authorities have not yet identified the victim or suspect in the shooting.
