Murder suspect allegedly forced crucifix down daughter's throat
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Court records show a woman who was arrested in connection to the death of her daughter beat her and forced a crucifix down her throat.
Juanita Gomez, 49, was arrested Aug. 27 on a complaint of first degree murder. Gomez arrest comes after the death of her 33-year-old daughter Geneva Gomez.
A probable cause affidavit filed in Oklahoma County Court shows that officers arrived on scene and found Geneva lying on the floor of the home in the 1500 block of N. McKinley with a large crucifix on her chest.
Police spoke with Juanita who allegedly told them her daughter was possessed by the devil and that she had punched her repeatedly and forced a crucifix and religious medallion down her throat until blood came out.
Gomez was one of six people to be murdered in Oklahoma County over the weekend.
