Several injured after church van rolls over in northeast Oklahoma City

Emergency crews were on the scene of a rollover crash involving a church van in northeast Oklahoma City Friday evening.

Officials say seven people were taken to the hospital, one person is in critical condition, the others serious after a church van and a truck were involved in a crash at approximately 5:45 p.m. May 12 near NE 11 Street and N. Kate Avenue. Both of the vehicles rolled over in the crash.

Six EMSA units were called to the scene.

Police say there were 15 people in the van and 3 people in the truck, both vehicles involved rolled at least once.

"I think everybody was hurt so there were 18 people involved I believe all 18 from what we can see walking around scrapes and bumps and bruises and some blood," sad Oklahoma City Police Captain Arthur Gregory.

The crash remains under investigation.
