Man arrested after reportedly throwing liquor bottle at police vehicle
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
An Oklahoma City man was arrested after police say he threw a liquor bottle at a patrol vehicle as it passed by.
Oklahoma City Police Department reports show that at 2:20 a.m. Sept. 11 an officer was driving westbound on NE 23 Street near Laird when a man on the north side of the street threw a glass liquor bottle at his vehicle.
The bottle shattered on the vehicle near the passenger door. The officer then made a u-turn and exited his vehicle. When they did, the man, later identified as 63-year-old Melvin Coleman, laid on the ground and began apologizing.
Coleman was then arrested on complaints of destruction of property and throwing an object at a moving vehicle after previous felony conviction and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
