A lightning strike caused a tank battery to catch on fire around 5:00 p.m Saturday, near SE 34th St. and Sunnylane Rd.

The top of the tank was blown off after the lightning struck. Moore Deputy Chief Greg Herbster says remaining oil at the top of the tank sparked the fire.

Fire crews are allowing the fire to burn itself out.
