Jones home completely destroyed in morning fire
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Three people are safe, but a home is destroyed after an early morning fire in the Jones area.
The call came in around 3 a.m. Tuesday for the fire near NE 164th and Hiwassee Rd. Arriving crews said they could see flames coming from the home from the Turner Turnpike.
Oklahoma City fire officials tell FOX 25 three people were inside the home when the fire broke out, but they were able to make it out safely. Two pets were also rescued.
There were smoke detectors in the home and people inside the house say they did go off until after they were out.
Officials are still investigating how that fire started. They say the home is a total loss and estimate the damage is worth about $230,000.
