Home destroyed in Oklahoma City fire
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
A home is total loss following a fire Monday in Oklahoma City.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department reports that at approximately 1:22 p.m. March 20 crews were dispatched to a house fire in the 1400 block of Standish Avenue.
Firefighters responding to the scene found heavy flames. Three occupants, one adult and two minors, were able to get out of the home. One of the occupants was being treated for a minor injury.
The home is reportedly a total loss. A preliminary investigation into the fire shows that it likely began when a juvenile was playing with a lighter in the home.
