Police identify Guthrie homicide victim; 3 suspects still sought

A 24-year-old man was shot and killed early Wednesday in Guthrie.

Police say they were called to reports of a burglary in the 300 block of S. Oak St around 12:15 a.m. April 5. Arriving officers discovered 24-year-old Joseph William Angelo lying on the front porch of a home with multiple gunshots to the face and torso.

Angelo was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where he died. Police tell FOX 25 Angelo was shot 36 times during the attack. Two different caliber of shells were found on scene.

Police say three people were seen running from the scene and getting into a sedan of unknown make or mode. Those suspects are still on the loose.

Guthrie police has requested assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
