Gene Simmons presents Freedom to Rock Award in honor of two Oklahomans
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Gene Simmons honored two unsung heroes at his Rock-n-Brews restaurant April 5 in Oklahoma City. (KOKH)
He's called the "God of Thunder" and, in a town that really likes the Thunder, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Gene Simmons bestowed his honor on two unsung heroes. "Dr. Love" presented Donna Warren and Army Specialist Adam Putt with the Gene Simmons Freedom to Rock Award Wednesday night at his restaurant Rock-n-Brews.
Putt lost his legs while serving in our military when an IED went off. Warren is the mother of Eric Warren who died in 2012 while serving as a Marine in Afghanistan. She's also the wife of a Desert Storm veteran.
Simmons not only presented the award to the two but provided Honoring America’s Warriors with 100 tickets for local veterans to attend the Southwind Casino Music Festival in Braman.
