Edmond police: 3 juveniles cited for vandalism at elementary school

The Edmond Police Department was called to the Orvis Risner Elementary School in the 2800 block of S. Rankin Street on Wednesday morning about 7:00 a.m.

When officer arrived, according to a police report, they were informed that construction workers discovered a portable building on the property had its lights on and had been ransacked when they arrived for work. Tables were overturned, supplies pulled from the shelf and fake blood was poured around the building, the report says.

Three juveniles were found to be responsible for the vandalism, according to an EPD spokesperson. The school met with the children and their parents, citations for vandalism were issued and all three juveniles have been banned from the school.
