Edmond PD: Man hospitalized after suffering multiple gunshot wounds

Police in Edmond are investigating a shooting that put one man in the hospital.

Officers were called to the scene near 15th and Kelly around 3 a.m. Tuesday after the victim called police saying he'd been shot. Police say the victim is suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen and foot. After undergoing surgery all morning, the victim is expected to survive

Investigators tell FOX 25 that there were two people inside the home at the time of the shooting. Neither person was injured. The two people inside the house were arrested and are both facing shooting with intent to kill charges.

Police have a person in custody they say is being considered a suspect at this time. That person was found a few blocks south of the scene after a homeowner let his dog out and found the person in his backyard.

Edmond police are continuing to investigate the shooting, but say they're not entirely sure what led up to the shooting. They will not releases any names until tomorrow.
