For 39 years, Downtown Edmond has shut down the streets and opened up the arts for the Downtown Edmond Arts Festival. The festival takes place May 5, 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event, which is free to the public, will feature more than 120 artists and live entertainment including appearances by the Jason Young Band, Riders Ford, Hillbilly Vegas, Wesley Pruitt Band and more.

Area food vendors, including some new local favorites, will also be on hand to serve the public. The Arts Festival will benefit Angels Foster Family Network, an organization whose mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, and neglected children, match them with a select group of Angels trained foster parents and ensure the maximum emotional, social and intellectual development of each child.
