3 adults, several pets safe after house fire in southeast Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Oklahoma City fire crews are on-scene of a house fire in the southeast metro.
The call came in just before 8 a.m. Tuesday for a fire in the 1300 block of SE 40th St. Originally fire officials reported one person may have been trapped inside, however upon arrival, firefighters say everyone in the home was outside and safe. However, there are still pets believed to be in the home.
Heavy smoke has been reported coming from the house.
A dog and three cats were also inside the home when the fire broke out. Officials say two cats had to be resuscitated after being pulled from the smoke-filled home, but they are expected to survive.
