Body of second man killed in boat crash recovered from Lake Thunderbird
LAKE THUNDERBIRD, Okla. (KOKH) —
Authorities have recovered the second body of a man killed in a crash on Lake Thunderbird.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that the body of Little Axe resident Cody Foster was discovered around 10:45 a.m. May 24. Foster and Brandon Kelley were killed in a crash between two boats May 19.
Foster was found in water that was approximately 35-feet deep. The OHP reports that members of Team Watters Sonar Search and Recovery from Illinois arrived at the lake Thursday to assist in the search. Using specialized equipment they were able to locate Foster.
Kelley's body was recovered May 22. Two other people involved in the crash are in the hospital now in stable condition. Steven Taylor, 34 years old, was transported to OU Medical with head injuries. Jennifer Collett, 36 years old, suffered internal injuries to her body.
The OHP reports that an investigation into the incident is still ongoing. A final report will be submitted to the Cleveland County District Attorney's Office.
