Are you ready to lose weight? Do you want to be healthier?

Join us for the next three months on a journey to help Oklahoma lose weight!

What is Take It Off Oklahoma?

Take It Off Oklahoma is a three-month weight loss challenge coordinated by FOX 25 News and the Oklahoma City-County Health Department (OCCHD).

How do I join?

It’s simple! All you need to do to join is come to one of our weigh-in locations during the first month of our challenge. We will conduct weigh ins from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on be April 4th, May 2nd and June 6th at the following locations:

North Oklahoma City:

  • Oklahoma City-County Health Department
    Northeast Regional Health and Wellness Campus
    2600 N.E. 63rd Street
    Oklahoma City, 73111

South Oklahoma City:

  • Smart Saver Grocery Store
    1104 S.E. 44th Street
    Oklahoma City, 73129

What do I need to do?

On the first Tuesday of each month, you will come back to weigh in, which allows OCCHD to monitor your progress. Tune into FOX 25 every Tuesday for tips from experts in the field. Additionally, new content will be added each week to www.okcfox.com on how to meet your weight-loss goals.

What is the goal of the program?

Each participant who joins the competition will be given a goal to lose 5 percent of their body weight during the three-month period.

What do I win?

Each month, everyone who weighs in will automatically be entered to win a prize. Prizes will be awarded for each site location. Prizes TBD

At the end of the three months, everyone who meets their 5 percent weight-loss goal will be entered to win a prize. Prizes TBD

At the end of the three months, the person who loses the most weight, by percentage, will be crowned the biggest loser and win [prize TBD].

What if I need more help losing weight?

OCCHD offers FREE eight-week weight-loss and chronic disease prevention classes called Total Wellness. These classes meet one hour a week for eight weeks and give you the tools you need to successfully lose weight. For more information about these classes go to www.occhd.org/tw.
