Wife of man who pledged Thunder half-court shot winnings passes away from cancer

A woman, who made headlines in 2013 after her husband hit a half-court shot during a Oklahoma City Thunder game, has passed away from cancer.According to the Oklahoma City Thunder, in March of 2013 Oklahoma City resident Heath Kufahl hit a half-court shot worth $20,000 during a Thunder game.Heath pledged the money would go to help pay for his wife Jenni's cancer treatments.Jenni lost her battle with appendix cancer Sunday. At the time of the half-court shot she had been receiving chemotherapy. After Heath sank the shot Jenni said she was in shock. "It's amazing that it's obviously from the Lord, it's not just chance, the Lord knew what he was doing," Jenni said in an interview following the shot.
