Video to be released Tuesday in Moore involving in-custody death outside theater
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) —
A lawyer for the family of a man who died outside an Oklahoma movie theater during an incident with police plan to release video of the incident.
Forty-four-year-old Luis Rodriguez died earlier this month after a confrontation with police outside the theater in Moore.
Police have said Rodriguez became uncooperative when questioned about a possible domestic disturbance and that he was handcuffed.
Rodriguez's wife and daughter say police then started beating him. Results from an autopsy to determine the cause of death are pending.
A lawyer for Rodriguez's family will release the video and a statement during a news conference on Tuesday in Oklahoma City.
Three officers involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is now investigating.
