Supermodel Gisele Bundchen's breastfeeding photo ignites debate

When the supermodel mom and wife of NFL quarterback Tom Brady posted this photo, she probably didn't expect the backlash she received.

Gisele Bundchen posted the above photo of herself breastfeeding her 1-year-old daughter while three people work on her hair, makeup, and nails before a photo shoot. She gave it this caption:

"What would I do without this beauty squad after the 15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep #multitasking#gettingready."

Almost immediately, it started a firestorm of moms attacking her for the post and defending her actions.

The supermodel mom is no stranger to controversy. When she had her first child, Benjamin, in 2010, she told Harper's Bazaar UK that it helped her get her figure back and it should be a worldwide law that moms should breastfeed.

"Some people here (in the U.S.) think they don't have to breastfeed, and I think, 'Are you going to give chemical food to your child, when they are so little?' There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months."

She got slammed for her comments and later apologized. "I'm not here to judge. ... I think as mothers we are all just trying our best," she said.
