Start of school delayed for more than 1,000 OKC students

Oklahoma City Public Schools are slated to return to session Monday. At least, for all students except those at Taft Middle School.

The OKCPS announced Friday that Taft Middle School will not resume classes Monday, August 5th, as originally scheduled. According to a press release, MAPS construction has caused problems with a sewer line and there are a lack of ceiling tiles in the school.

The school district says the delay is only expected to last a week and classes should be back in session on August 12th.
