Sheriff: Mustang man had 21,000 images and videos of child pornography
The Canadian County Sheriff Department says it has a Mustang man in custody after an undercover investigation determined he was distributing child pornography and had downloaded more than 21,000 images and videos.
Bobby Gene Landrum, 42, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Mustang at his home near Czech hall and State Highway 152. According to Canadian County Undersheriff Chris West, Landrum was arrested after an undercover investigation revealed he was distributing child pornography from a computer in his home.
Canadian County deputies along with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) worked on the case together. They obtained a search warrant for his home and served in Tuesday.
Deputies say when they entered the home, they found multiple computers. On some of those computers, they reported finding hundreds of files of child pornography. They report Landrum admitted to downloading and viewing them out of curiosity.
That's when deputies say they learned that Landrum possessed over 21,000 images and videos of child pornography.
Landrum was booked into the Canadian County Jail on charges of aggravated possession of child pornography & distribution of child pornography. Officials believe additional charges will be filed against him due to the number of computers that were seized. His bond has been set at $300,000.
