On Monday, Oklahoma will celebrate the nation's past and present armed services during Veterans Day in a variety of ways.
The annual 45th Infantry Division Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the Oklahoma Military Department. Col. David Burgy, 138th Fighter Wing Commander, will keynote the ceremony.
In Enid, an 80-percent replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall will be dedicated at 11 a.m. at the Enid Woodring Regional Airport. The wall is one of only five in the United States.
Del City residents can catch a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. at Patriot Park, 4505 SE 15th St.
The Junior League of OKC along with the Daughters of the American Revolution will present a wreath-laying ceremony at 3:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial in front of the State Capitol. Major General Rita Aragon will speak at the ceremony.
Several area businesses will be offering free services to active-duty military and veterans including metro area Sports Clips. Sports Clips will also be donating $1 per haircut to benefit scholarships for veterans.
Custom Dental of Edmond, 17840 N. Pennsylvania, is offering free dental work for veterans.
