Senate votes along to party lines, rejects House bill to fund government

As expected by political pundits, the United States Senate has voted against a House bill that would fund the government and delay Obamacare.

The House passed a bill last week that would fund the federal government but would delay Obamacare by a year and repeals an unpopular medical device tax.

On Monday, the Senate met and voted 54-46 against the bill. The bill will now head back to the house for revision.

Congress has less than 10 hours to go before the federal government is shut down.
