Semi stuck under bridge, May closed at Northwest Expressway

Rush hour is here and the roadways are already jammed. For drivers heading northwest, there could be a major delay to get home.Officials with the Oklahoma City Police Department say a truck carrying tank batteries was headed SW on Northwest Expressway when the battery hit the May Avenue bridge.Traffic heading southeast on Northwest Expressway is currently stopped. Officials have also closed May in both directions at the bridge.Police are urging all drivers to avoid the area as the work the clear the scene. A structural engineer must inspect the bridge before the road and bridge are reopened.
