Semi hauling lobster tails flips at I-44 & Martin Luther King Blvd

OKLAHOMA CITY — A semi-truck carrying frozen lobster overturned Friday morning after crossing a cable barrier and hitting a pole on an Oklahoma City interstate. The accident happened in the median on I44 at Martin Luther King Blvd around 3:00 a.m. Friday. The accident caused both inside lanes in each direction to be shut down until possibly noon.According to officials on scene, the truck and another car were involved and they both crashed into the median and hit cable barriers before taking out a light pole. Officers say it took about an hour and a half to rescue the truck driver. The passenger in the truck is expected to be okay. OHP does not know what caused the accident, but are investigating. The Health Department has also been on the scene.
