Police search for suspect in pharmacy robbery of Oxycodone

Police say they're searching for a man who gave a threatening note to an employee at an Edmond pharmacy and demanded prescription drugs.

At 11:20 AM Tuesday, Edmond officers were called to a robbery at the CVS Pharmacy in the 1500 block of S. Bryant. Police say the pharmacy cashier reported that a man had walked up to the counter and said he had a prescription. The employee said the man then handed her a note that said "I have a firearm don't raise any alarm I need these things, Morphine ER and Oxycodone 30."

The cashier said she gave the note to her pharmacist who read it before handing the suspect a bottle of 100 tablets of 30 milligrams of Oxycodone. The pharmacist said the man asked for his note back and then left the store.

Police say he was wearing a khaki sport jacket, dark pants, and blue hat. They say he's about 5'07" and 150 pounds and believe he is in his early 20s.

Anyone who knows anything about the incident is urged to call 359-4454.
