Police say woman arrested after she pointed gun at toddler
An Oklahoma City woman sits behind bars after police say she pointed a gun at a toddler during a fight in northwest Oklahoma City.
38-year-old Jennifer Campbell was arrested at a home in the 500 block of NW 50th Street on Saturday for assault with a deadly weapon after police say she threatened several people including a 2-year-old.
Police say Campbell pulled into an auto repair shop and started arguing with another woman. According the arrest report, the argument turned physical until another woman stepped in to separate the two.
According to a witness, Campbell drove off but then turned around and flattened the tires on a pick up truck belonging to another victim in the garage. That's when Campbell got back into her car and grabbed her gun, according to the report.
Campbell reportedly racked the slide and pointed the 9 MM gun at several people, including a two-year-old's head and said she would "kill the baby herself". Witnesses say Campbell then drove off.
Several police units responded, including a helicopter to search for the woman. As police were there, Campbell called one of the victim's cell phone. The officer listened to Campbell as she threatened to blow a female's head off, though the female who Campbell was talking about was redacted from the police report.
Campbell was tracked down and police arrested her for vandalism and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
The two-year-old girl was released to the custody of her father.
