The deputy also reported smelling marijuana so his K9 partner, Thor, was used to sniff the car. When the dog indicated the presence of drugs, deputies had reason to search the car. Thor has been a busy dog this year. In February, the sheriff said 34 pounds of meth was found in a vehicle on I40. Thor detected the presence of drugs in that case.Just a week later, Thor detected $720,000 in black tar heroin, according to the sheriff.
