      Oklahoma County Clerk arrested for DUI

      Oklahoma County Clerk Carolyn Caudill

      Oklahoma City Police announced Wednesday they arrested the Oklahoma County Clerk on suspicion of DUI.

      Police in Nichols Hills say they were called to a report of a driver that hit a parked vehicle on NW 79th Street between McKinley and Military around 8:40 Tuesday night. When officers arrived, they found a Mercedes parked in the yard at a home in the 7900 block of McKinley Ave.

      Officers say the driver identified herself as Carolyn Caudill.

      Police say they could smell alcohol on Caudill and in her vehicle. They also report she had bloodshot and watery eyes and had difficulty standing steady or walking to police car.

      She was arrested for DUI and refused to take a breathalyzer.

      When they arrived at the Oklahoma COunty Jail, she told officers "You don't know what you did, you could've let me go home."

      She was arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
