Oklahoma City police identify weekend homicide victims

Oklahoma City police have opened investigations on two separate homicides that occurred over the weekend.

According to police, authorities found the first homicide victim at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of N. Lindsey.

Police say the victim was found in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Liberty Station Apartments. The victim was later identified as 59-year-old Charles Jasper. No suspects have been identified in the case.

On Sunday evening, Oklahoma City police performed a welfare check to a residence in the 2200 block of N. Lottie. Upon arrival, police found 76-year-old Nash Mitchell with signs of trauma to his body consistent with homicide.

No arrests have been made in the case.

The two homicides are Oklahoma City's 66th and 67th of the year.
