OKC Public School Students Head Back to the Classroom

Today some 40-thousand children head back to the classroom.

With the start of a new school year, its also the very first day of school for new Oklahoma City Public Schools superintendent, Rob Neu.

Neu officially took the job July first and has been learning about the school and community over the past month.

He replaces former interim superintendent David Lopez, who stepped in when Karl Springer resigned in August of 2013.

With kids heading back to school, here are a few important reminders:

First...keep an eye out for kids walking and biking back to school.

Also school zones are also back in effect... so save yourself a couple hundred bucks and slow down.
