OKC police arrest one person following early morning house fire
OKLAHOMA CITY —
Police arrest a man after firefighters battle a house fire in northwest Oklahoma City.
Firefighters were called out to a home near NW 1st & Blackwelder just after 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
When they arrived they found smoke coming from the attic.
Crews were able to quickly put out the fire, but while going through the home they found possible drugs and paraphernalia.
Firefighters alerted police, and officers arrested one of the residents.
No one was injured in the fire.
Firefighters believe an electrical short may have sparked the fire.
They say it caused about $15,000 in damage.
