Norman PD: Man fatally stabs wife

Police respond to the scene of the stabbing

The Norman Police Department is investigating an early morning homicide Saturday.According to police, a man called 911 around 3:35 a.m. Saturday morning and told operators that he had just killed someone in the area of 3653 SE 24th Ave. Dispatchers reported the man then hung up the phone.Norman Police Department officers arrived on scene and found Sidra Sandhu dead from apparent knife wounds.Police arrested Sandhu's husband, 37-year-old Abid Sandhu, at the scene. Sandhu was transported to the Cleveland County Justice Center on a charge of Murder in the First Degree. Authorities believe the incident is domestic related.
