Man & woman arrested for meth, drugs, weapons near 5 month old

Winfredo Rivas was arrested for child endangerment Wednesday. He also had warrants from Oklahoma City for his arrest.

The Oklahoma City Police Department says a connected extension cord led them to a family with drugs and weapons near a child.

Police arrested Jessica Thi Maria Nguyen, 28, and Winfredo Rivas, 27, on Wednesday for child endangerment.

According the department, they were called to the home in the 2200 block of Binkley Street and found an extension cord connecting their home to their neighbors. Because of the fire risk, officers made them disconnect the cord.

Police then went inside the home where they found a five-month-old in the home. They also say they found what they believe to be methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia as well as several firearms laying in the open.

Rivas had warrants from the city. Both were arrested for child endangerment and the child was placed in DHS custody.
