A Mississippi girl who was asked to leave a KFC in Jackson because of her scars after being mauled by a pack of pit bulls is getting some help from a plastic surgeon from across the country.Victoria Wilcher's story made worldwide news earlier this month. The three-year-old is still recovering from severe injuries she received when a pack of dogs escaped a neighboring home and mauled her at her grandmother's house. It captured hearts worldwide and prompted a Las Vegas surgeon to fly to Mississippi, on his own dime, and offer his skills for her care free of charge.Dr. Frank Stile flew to Jackson, Mississippi to meet Victoria on Saturday. The plastic and reconstructive surgeon has expertise minimizing scars on professional fighters. He flew into Mississippi for a short visit to meet this young fighter."I saw Victoria's story on the news and social media and I was just very affected by it," Dr. Stile said.He was so moved by her story and remarkable battle, he's offering his services free of charge. An attorney says the family is moved by the gesture."I can't thank him enough, I can't thank his staff enough," Lindsey Turk, an attorney representing Victoria, said.Dr. Stile isn't alone. He put Victoria's story on his foundation's website and says contributions are overflowing."Most notably is Raymond Peter in Naples, Florida, who's a renowned prosthetician. He's donating a prosthetic eye for her," Dr. Stile said. The plan is to get Victoria to Florida for her new eye within the next week or two. After that, Dr. Stile said he'll likely perform cosmetic procedures on Victoria and monitor her facial motor sensory loss. Victoria sustained severe facial scars and lost her right eye and the ability to move the right side of her face after the April pit bull attack at her grandfather's home. Nearly two months after the attack, Victoria was allegedly asked to leave a KFC in Jackson, Mississippi, because her scarred face was reportedly scaring customers. After that, her story went viral with people across the globe sharing the news.(Video and story source: CNNNewsource)
