Ice and accidents force OHP to close I-40 eastbound at I-35
OKLAHOMA CITY —
All lanes of eastbound I-40 at the Dallas and Fort Smith junctions reopened around 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning following several accidents.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers closed on ramps to EB I-40 at I-35 and I-235 just before 7:00 a.m. because of slick roads possibly caused by freezing fog.
Troopers closed the southbound ramp from I-235 to eastbound I-40 and the northbound I-35 ramp to eastbound I-40 while they cleared several accidents on the elevated portion of I-40.
At least three wreckers responded to haul away wrecked vehicles.
No word on any serious injuries.
