Hazmat teams investigate white powder at Hobby Lobby headquarters

The Oklahoma City Police Department is investigating an envelope of white powder sent to Hobby Lobby corporate headquarters.Police were called to the Hobby Lobby headquarters near SW 44th and Council in SW Oklahoma City. According to police, an employee opened an envelope that contained a second envelope. Police say the white powder was inside the second envelope.Shortly after police arrived, Hobby Lobby issued this statement:"We appreciate the immediate response by the Oklahoma City emergency first responders and commend the Hazmat crew for their efforts to protect our employees. We will continue to cooperate and assist the authorities throughout their investigation. Further questions should be directed to authorities."The envelope was received at Building 1, which houses loss prevention.Just before 4:15 Thursday, Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Gary Knight said the team has given the 'all clear' and called the substance benign.
