An Oklahoma Soldier will be remembered this weekend by his home state for his service and sacrifice.
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin ordered American and Oklahoma flags to fly at a half-staff this weekend in honor of 34-year-old Chief Warrant Officer Randy L. Billings of Heavener.
Billings was one of six soldiers killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
The Executive Order was signed Tuesday by the governor and is effective at 5:00 PM Friday through Monday.
According to the DOD, Billings was assigned to the 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, in Fort Riley, Kan.
