Girl Scout Cookies targets medical marijuana clinic
A California Girl Scout is one smart cookie. She set up a table to sell her cookies outside a medical marijuana clinic.
Inside The Green Cross Medical Marijuana Dispensary, Girl Scout Cookies are one of the most types of pot for sale. Outside, the ACTUAL Girl Scout Cookies are almost as popular.
13-year-old Danielle Lei was certainly 'thinking outside the box' when she set up her cookie stall outside The Green Cross marijuana dispensary in San Francisco.
The budding entrepreneur Lei sold 117 boxes of Tagalongs and Thin Mints in two hours, the proceeds of which benefits charitable organizations.
Her mother said that she set up at this location, not to make a political statement, but instead she views selling Girl Scout Cookies as an opportunity to take her daughter around to different parts of the city.
Miss Lei's mother Carol said her daughter sold dozens more boxes outside The Green Cross than at other locations - and sold out of Dulce de Leches.
Lei's business idea was equally approved by Girl Scouts of Northern California, who said it is down to the parents where children sell the cookies.
