Gauze wrapped robber hits Tulsa bank
TULSA — The Tulsa Police Department is asking for assistance in locating a robbery suspect who used a unique disguise.Police say a man walked into the IBC Bank in the 1900 block of S. Yale Ave. in Tulsa about 5:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. The suspect approached a teller asking about an account. The suspect was referred to another employee and the two went into an office. During a meeting in a closed office the suspect demanded money stating he had a bomb.The employee and suspect returned to the lobby where the suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect than left the bank and was last seen walking in the direction of 21st St.The suspect is described as being 5' 6'' tall with brown eyes and dark hair, he has a slender to medium build. The suspect may have a goatee and was wearing a light blue long sleeve button up shirt, dark pants, dress shoes and had gauze wound around his head and hands. The suspect was seen carrying a dark portfolio in his left hand and shortly before the robbery occurred he was seen walking north from East 21st St. toward the bank.Anyone with information is asked to call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or text TIP918 to CRIMES.
