FBI: Bank robbery suspect arrested before leaving bank

It didn't take investigators long to arrest a suspected bank robber: they did it before the suspect even left the crime scene.

The Oklahoma City division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation says they have a woman in custody for robbing a bank Monday afternoon.

Rick Raines with the FBI says they were called to the Tinker Federal Credit Union in the 1100 block of NE 23rd Street around 1:15 Monday.

According to a press release, a woman walked in and handed a note demanding money and claiming to have a bomb. The woman left the bank with an unknown amount of money but police arrived before she could leave the parking lot.

51-year-old Alice Underwood was arrested for robbery. She's currently in the Grady County jail and awaiting her initial appearance in federal court.
