A chemical plant caught fire in western Oklahoma Thursday, sparking an explosion at the plant.
Thomas firefighters say the first explosion touched off around 10:00 PM Wednesday night at the Danlin Industries plant. Firefighters contained the flame and let the fire burn itself out.
Emergency crews evacuated several homes near the plant. Around 5:00 a.m., residents just south of the chemical plant were allowed to go back home. While residents to the north were allowed back in around 7:00 AM.
