Edmond Fire Chief resigns after internal investigation

Fire Chief Jake Rhoades submitted resignation

Edmond city officials say Fire Chief Jake Rhoades resigned effective Monday, August 4th. As you may remember, earlier this month Rhoades was investigated after several firefighters complained about a hostile work environment.

An independent investigation found the complaints to be true.

Rhoades was disciplined following that investigation and on Friday, he submitted his resignation.

Battalion Chief Doug Hall was appointed acting Chief on July 16.

He will serve as interim Fire Chief until a replacement is named.
