Dusten Brown drops fight for Veronica

The father of a girl adopted to a family in South Carolina has dropped his attempts at regaining custody of his daughter.

Dusten Brown announced attorney Thursday that he and the Cherokee Nation have jointly moved to dismiss all pending litigation. His attorney says the choice is what is best for Veronica.

The move to dismiss ends a nearly four-year-long custody battle that stretched from Oklahoma to South Carolina.

Just a little more than two weeks ago, Brown handed 'Baby Veronica' over to Matt and Melanie Capobianco, who returned her to South Carolina.
