GRAPHIC: Dog abuse video goes viral, two Oklahoma teens charged
Two Choctaw County teens are being charged with animal cruelty after video of a dog being thrown off a bridge surfaces online.
Deputies say one of the teens was contacted by authorities Thursday while the other was booked through the county jail Friday. One of the teens is a minor, while the other is 18 years old. Both are being charged after the Wednesday incident in Boswell that shows an unknown boy throwing a dog off a nearly 50-foot bridge.
The video was originally shot on Snapchat and someone who saw the video saved it and forwarded it to the Choctaw County Sheriff's Office. The video also surfaced on Instagram and Facebook.
In the very graphic video, the dog is being tossed over and it has the caption "Sorry a-- bull dog".
The dog is being cared for at All Veterinary Hospital in Atoka and the vet says the dog has a dislocated left paw and laceration on her stomach but no other major injuries. According to the vet, the dog was left alone at the bottom of the bridge Wednesday night after the incident and was brought in Thursday after being found.
People from across the country have called to help or adopt the dog.
The dog is a two-year-old pit bull mix and the vet says they've named her 'Miracle'.
