Community meetings set for new OKCPS elementary school gyms

Community meetings are being held at five Oklahoma City elementary schools this week to discuss new gym additions. During Monday's meeting at Britton Elementary School, parents as well as teachers, students and community members reviewed the final design for the gymnasium additions. Nearly $1.4 million in district school bond funds are being allocated for each new gymnasium. The additions are a part of the 2007 I-89 bond issue. The remaining community meetings are as follows: June 3 - 6 p.m. - Willow Brook Elementary School cafeteria, 8105 NE 10th St. June 4 - 6 p.m. - Lee Elementary School cafeteria, 424 SW 29th St. June 5 - 6 p.m. - Thelma R. Parks Elementary School library, 1501 NE 30th St. June 6 - 6 p.m. - Arthur Elementary School cafeteria, 5100 S.
